Will Smith has been forced to apologize to Chris Rock for slapping him at the Oscars on Sunday night March 27, 2022, after he made a GI Jane joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, but I don’t believe Will truly wants to apologize or else he would have done so at the Oscars when he apologized to everybody else.
Yes, Chris’s jokes can be piercing but what was the real reason Will felt the need to walk up to that stage and slap Chris like he did?
I mean, what if it had been a stronger built egotistical Black man such as a Mike Tyson, LeBron James or a Shaquille O’Neil or even a White man, would Will be so quick to step to any of them?
And was Will defending his wife’s honor or his honor?
This dumb move on Will Smith’s part has overshadowed his WIN and what King Richard actually represents.

That act by Will was so horrific nothing less than an apology – showing his face with a voice speaking – will ever be acceptable! Period. And for the life of me, I don’t know why he allowed Jada to exert so much power over him 🙄 He was having a great time enjoying all the jokes – even that joke about Jada, but as soon as he looks at her looking at him he got up like someone put some fire under him and went and make a fool of himself on the world stage. Just by looking of Jada, he forgot where he was, why he was there, and what he was doing! Totally blocked out! And you know what, I don’t even think Jada is worth fighting over or jeopardizing anything over, she and her entanglement with August and still trying to have Will measure up to 2Pac. Not worth it!!! The sooner he move on from her the better he will be!
My sentiments exactly! They’ve been together for a long time but the relationship obviously ran its course and they need to not be around each other. She is not good for him. She constantly compares him to her exes and have him constantly trying to measure up. Will will not be ok until he rids himself of her. Period.
Something is not quite right with that whole debacle 🤔 It looks like it’s preplanned but at the same time impromptu. I know Will is an excellent actor but Chris really seemed stunned and confused after the slap yet expectant of the slap in the beginning by leaning in to Will with his hands behind him. To us watching it was humiliating though for Chris, and I know he had it coming for constantly dissing black women and their hair, but this was not the right place to get Chris. It’s in poor taste and I don’t know why Jada was so happy this slap took place 🤪
Jada definitely seem to wear the pants in that family out here humiliating and emasculating that man, and then have him agree that she sleeping with August Alsina wasn’t cheating. What? Why was he there laughing and then the moment he looked at Jada he had to go and hit Chris? And what kinda girly slap was that? This man Will is a mess and he needs to leave that woman and relationship so he can get some therapy and heal himself. He is not ok!!!
Nope! Never should have happened. There had to have been a better way to show Chris Rock what he said was offensive and not acceptable. Why couldn’t he have shouted something to him like “No, you’re not going to joke about my wife’s illness!” or “You’re crossing the line and you need to take that back! Joking about my wife hair loss is not a acceptable”. Something! Anything, except walking up to Chris and slapping him. And I’m not sure what the Oscars security thought was going to happen when Will got to Chris, why didn’t they intervene? Anyway, this was really bad on so many levels and it 💯% overshadowed everything good about that night.
Will Smith is throwing away his entire career over something as silly as this, but I guess he can afford to. Instead of taking the joke as it was meant to be he read more into it and snapped. Sad, just sad.
The man is clearly pussy-whipped and have Jada walking all over him like a puppet. After all she did to him, she’s not worth fighting over. He needs to send her back to the streets like DeVon did to Meagan before she put him under for good.
Man I can’t believe that shit just happened. It was Will’s big night man. Couldn’t he just let it slide. I don’t know man, I’d have to let that one go. For a big superstar like he is he shouldn’t have done that. Jada probably would have felt like he didn’t have her back, but she would eventually get over it, and the whole world probably wouldn’t even catch the joke or roast or whatever. Wrong move on Will Smith’s part.
It was wrong of Will to do what he did but Chris need to start finding new things to joke about except black women and their hair 🤡
That was like a movie inside of a movie and I have to wonder if it was planned or what. Like, no security no-one try to intervene or anything and then he gets to go and collect an Oscar and give a speech, and still didn’t apologize to Chris. Nah, something is fishy about this.
That was all The Academy’s doing! I think the Oscar’s was becoming so boring and predictable they had to do something drastic to restore relevance and viewership so they planned that stunt. Otherwise how do we explain no-one stepping in to stop the shenanigans that continued for damn near 5 minutes?
Any man would want to defend their woman if they feel they were being attacked but I don’t think Jada deserve to be defended. Matter of fact, I think Will should leave her tired, manipulative, cheating ass.

Will resign from the academy whatever that mean so finally we can get back to talking about anything except this family and the Oscars. It was an exhausting few days because of this whole incident. He stole the spotlight of all the other winners and he will never be forgiven for that.
He resigned but I still think he owe Chris Rock a proper apology. Even though the joke was offensive to him and his wife, he never should have got up there and hit him. Chris was wrong but Will was way overboard with his reaction.

If it was any of those three guys you mention – Mike, LeBron or Shaquille he wouldn’t dare even step to them much more hit them, and he certainly wouldn’t be so quick to hit a white man 😉 But Chris Rock need to leave black women hair alone though, he joke about it way too much!
Sorry but I think Chris deserve that slap for joking about Jada’s hair when it’s no fault of her own her head is bald. That slap is for all black women who Chris has offended over the course of his long career. It’s a lot of offense! Was it the ideal venue? No, but the better question is, when does comedy go too far? Where does the limit stop? Because it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
