Megan Thee Stallion Interviewed By Gayle King Speak On Her Shooting Incident With Tory Lanez Plus Her 2020 IG Live Explaining What She Recall Happening In July 2020

Megan Thee Stallion got very emotional while speaking with Gayle King about her being shot in both feet by Tory Lanez back in July 2020 after a party at Kylie Jenner’s mansion in Hollywood Hills.

She told Gayle King that four people were in Tory’s car – Megan Thee Stallion, her friend Kelsey Nicole, Tory Lanez, and his security who she didn’t name who was the driver.  She said they were all arguing and she got tired of the unending argument and asked the driver to pull over so she could get out.  The driver stopped and she got out. However, Tory begged her to get back in the car so they can drop her home safely, so she got back in the car.  But instead of the argument subsiding, it escalated to the point where Megan asked the driver to pull over again so she could get out which he did so she got out. (At this point she was like five minutes away from where she was staying, she said.)

So as she got out and was walking away from the car she heard Tory say “dance bitch” and by the time she looked around Tory was standing up in the car and shooting at her over the window.  She felt her feet hurting and she fell to the ground and saw that her two feet were bleeding at the heels.  She then crawled on the ground for a while trying to get to safety ending up in someone’s driveway, and within minutes police cars were there as well as a helicopter overhead.  Apparently, the neighbors heard the shots or saw what was happening and called the cops, but Tory managed to get to Megan before the cops came and apologized profusely begging her not to tell the police and offering to pay her $1 million dollars.

Megan further explained that when the cops came she told them her feet were cut as a result of stepping on broken glass, because at the time she was afraid of the police shooting and killing them all just for simply mentioning they are in possession of a gun, as was and is still a normal occurrence whenever police are called by Black people. The fear is real!!!  She explained that later on when she felt safer she told them that she was shot in both feet by Tory Lanez.  (I think the neighbor(s) who called already told the cops about hearing gunshots, plus after the doctor found out she was shot and alerted the police, she had no choice but to come clean.)

Although Megan told the cops that her feet were cut as a result of stepping on glass, they still proceeded to arrest Tory and Kelsey which means that the neighbors had already told them when they called that they heard gunshots, and possibly saw who fired the shots as Megan said a witness was there – outside of the four of them. Megan was taken to the hospital where the doctor told her she had been shot cause her feet had gunshot fragments. According to Megan, she was still afraid to even tell the doctor she was shot cause fear made her associate the doctor with the cop. (Megan wasn’t far off, because IRL when someone goes to the doctor or hospital with a gunshot wound, the doctors are bound by law to contact the police and notify them.)

So now, Megan has reiterated what she had said in her IG Live back in 2020 about what happened based on her recollection, and why she originally lied to the police about broken glass instead of being shot.  If you recall the incident happened shortly after the George Floyd situation on May 25, 2020 where one cop – Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds even though he was crying out for help and people were asking the cop to get off his neck, the cop stayed on George Floyd’s neck until he died. There were also several incidents that took place during that same time where cops were called to help deescalate situations and they ended up shooting the people they went to help, and this usually happens with Black people. 

So what Megan is saying is that she was afraid for all of their lives – since they are all black and cops have a way of whenever they’re called about anything that Black people are involved in they are more inclined to shoot them instead of helping them or deescalating, and it’s even worse whenever gun possession is mentioned so Megan did not want the cops to come guns blazing because then they might all be dead – so she lied.  And I gotta say, I totally get it now.  I don’t know if I would have been so quick thinking to avoid telling them about being shot, but then again Black people don’t have the luxury of not thinking on their toes when it comes to dealing with the cops or the dominant society for that matter.  So that lie was warranted.  

Kelsey has not been charged but will most likely testify her account of what happened, and Tory’s bodyguard who remains unnamed will also need to testify of his account of what happened. Megan will also be testifying of her account of what happened. Thus far, Tory is the only one charged but he pleaded not guilty and the court case is ongoing.

What’s not adding up for me is the fact that gunpowder residue was found on Kelsey’s hand but not on Tory’s 🤔 How’s that even possible if Tory was the one who shot her? 

📍Could Megan have been walking away when the bullets hit her and because she knows that Tory had a gun she said it was him who shot her?

📍Could it have been Kelsey since Kelsey was upset with Megan for sleeping with her man Tory? 

📍Could Kelsey have grabbed Tory’s gun and Tory wrestled her to get it back and it went off shooting Megan in both feet?   

So much to unpack and unravel!

We’ll have to wait on the court for this one!!!
